As part of the Road Transport Strategy, the Environment Department has introduced a small car parking scheme that provides dedicated preferentially located parking spaces for small cars in the centre of St. Peter Port. The Department wishes to encourage the use of smaller vehicles in the Island as they can bring environmental benefits and are better suited to their narrow roads
